Well, I suppose you could be a little less blunt, but as a former pro violinist, recent tubist, and even more recent euphonium player....I played Bydlo quite passably after a sum total of five weeks on the instrument. Granted, I had about 8 years of french horn and 1 year of tuba behind me, but I agree that of the brasses I play, euphonium does seem to be the easiest. French horn pulls my heart strings the most strongly, and tuba is far and away the most fun (Frosty solo in the CB Xmas carols..!!) I don't find it a really huge leap from tuba/horn, perhaps because it is in the middle. I could also have learned cello well enough in five weeks to play Bydlo on it, but I have the string background.
