I second the vote for Hetman's number 9. It's the thickest, stickiest grease that I've tried. We use it in drum and bugle corps. With all to the horn snap moves, a tuning slide can migrate. It allows the slides to be tuned, but holds them in place very well.
If you can't get Hetman's, then there is the old stand by.....duct tape!! Set it and forget it.
