I don't know why they quite making them most likely it was supply and demand. But I do like them too. They are out there, very nice used ones. I thing brasswind had one new one left. Post on the board that you are looking for one and you will get some response from sellers. There are other choices out there too. Check Sams post "You might like this". He makes short, big bell horns with american sound that may be just what you are looking for. I have a Holton of his and it is a great horn and I think he has a 5 valve York that might even be better. I was looking at the Getzen and Conn too before purchaced from Sam. Get in touch with Sam he is a great guy, you won't be sorry.
