You all have it wrong. Of course we should have as many music students as we possibly can, whether they play tuba, recorder, study theory, conducting, or even want to become music teachers. Yes, many music students don't get jobs in orchestras or even decent freelance gigs. But each and every one of them is better off having learned music. That's the point of music school and every music student is worth his or her weight in gold.
