I played a Zeiss from the late 60's through high school, college and the first year of post graduate work. Played in local symponies, brass quintets, senior recital, VW concerto, etc.

The horn played very well. The one noticable tuning issue was the D in the middle of the staff. It was a bit flat so I played it 1,2 and all was fine. It had a nice tone and upper range. The low range was a bit difficult, but that may have been me.

As previously mentioned the clock springs were slow, I had them wound tighter and they were still slow so I figured out a way to assist the action with rubber bands!

I would add one to my current collection (of 1) if I could afford it.

Good luck.
