Can you demonstrate that 3 volume medicinal H2O2 will reduce brass to any extent at 20C, particularly when the metal already has a layer of oxide on it?

True, H2O2 decomposition does release oxygen and some free hydroxyl radicals, which contribute to the antibiotic effect on organisms (which is what we're after isn't it?), but get real. Of all the stuff in my horn, I'd be the most worried about the effect my saliva has on the metal.

Dilute H2O2 has the advantage that its decomposition products (water and oxygen) are benign and won't leave any soap or detergent deposits in your horn to mess up valve lubrication and it doesn't smell.
