Variation in like-model Sterlings seems to be pretty extreme, that is for sure. On another note, I recently played four Willson 2900s and was pleasantly surprised. They all had the new valves sets that Willson now makes in house and the fit and finish was really nice. They all were quite nice to play as well, but even as nice as they all were, I did like one better that the rest. So the advice that the new horn shopper should play as many of the target model as possible is always true.
