I found picking up Eb relatively easy, even for a very amateur BBb player such as myself. I tried CC and F and think that the transition to Eb was easier. I have heard others say that you can "just learn the fingerings," or something like "you should be able to pick up a tuba in amny key and play it," that may be true for them, but to me there was a difference. The similarity of Eb fingerings to BBb fingerings made it easier.
