I use both the Conn-Helleberg and also the 7B. Both MPs have their unique qualities. The 7B rim is not a sharp at the Conn-Helleberg. Both MPs work well with big German tubas. I don't know the specific dimensions of the 7B but I can tell you it is much shallower that the regular and the 7B has more of a 'cup' shape that the 'funnel' shape.
