I must say that I've always thought that my intonation was best when I used the Wick SM Series mouthpieces. I used to own a BS967, and I found that the SM4 was sufficient, but I have come to accept that intonation is easier to control in that register if you go a slight bit larger. I have since then used an SM3.5 and SM3 and have found both to be positively perfect for maintaining consistent intonation and sound quality. I haven't really done much research on other brands, but I have found that most euphists prefer the Wick SM's.
