I used to try to do all the patterns for 2 or 3 different keys in ONE practice session. That way I could claim to have played through the entire warmup in the course of a week. This however turned out to be too much for me (they never sounded great and I would stop and start, etc.). It was suggested that I "stay at it" but to take only a section of one of the keys and work the 2 octave scale or arp. for a whole week till it sounded really good (good breath, good sound, etc.). This proved to be highly beneficial. Over the course of a few weeks I'll touch on every key. This was a better approach for me (tuba is second instrument).
