One of the Community bands I play in, played a Christmas concert with some of the local Junior High kids sitting with us on a few tunes. I was great fun for us and the kids.

The little guy sitting next to me had about a 60 year old Conn silver baritone. It was in pretty good shape, but the mouthpiece he was using, was almost void of silver plating.

This is a inner city school band, with limited funds. When I got home, I went through my collection of musical excess I have collected over the years. I also talked some of my friends to do the same.

Long story short, I collected seven instruments, a couple dozen mouthpieces and some cash to buy them some extra reeds, oil etc. (No junk either. Everything looked good and played well.)

So instead of selling some of your unneeded stuff on eBay, how ‘bout giving it to someone who really needs and appreciates it. You’ll have a great feeling inside.
