"If you find an Amati with rotary valves it is a Cerveny from the red era": this affirmation is not true because the Amati company, that Cerveny produces also, it produces today some rotor valves instruments with the Amati brand. These instruments are assign for the Czech home market but they have the same characteristics of the Cerveny horns. My wife play a Amati oval Euphonium AEP431-4 rotor valves and a Cerveny oval red brass Euphonium (Kaiser-bariton) CEP 741-5 rotor valves: these instruments have been bought in 2002 in the factory of Kraslice. This CEP 741-5 has been played from Steven Mead in 2002 and its comment has been: "Very nice, very good".
