If I might suggest a great closer, check out Alec Wilder's "Suite for Horn, Tuba and Piano" It's currently out of print, but you should be able to find someone who has a copy of it. I do if you can't find it. This would allow you to do an ensemble piece without having to round-up allot of players. This is a reasonably advanced piece for both the tuba, and french horn.
