That sounds like a nearly historically accurate performance. Isn't the original scoring of the 1st Ewald (Symphony in Bb minor) quintet for all conical instruments? I have an older version that lists the parts as Cornets 1 & 2, Alto Horn, Euphonium, and Tuba. I'm still waiting to be a part of such a performance. I bet the piece really lays well in such a setup...
