Obviously there are many Conn Helleberg fans out there. It is a good mouthpiece and certainly a standard model that would defitinitely be a good starting point for you. There are two models: the standard size which is simply called the Conn Helleberg and then the Conn Helleberg 7B, which is a bit smaller. If you can afford it get both. I use them both for different applications. They run about $50 bucks from most music stores and include a blue plastic case and mouthpiece brush. Some people do not care for the sharp inner rim on these mouthpieces. That is why there are many other "Helleberg" models out there. Shilke makes one, and there are others I can't think of off the top of my head at the present time, but I think the Conn will do fine and certainly be much better than what you are using. ken k
