The tunes that he listed are not obscure. They are just tunes that someone who is not ready for the tunes that you played might play on a program. Hell, I'd have a tough time with your senior recital program! :O
Judging by the rest of the tunes, I might suggest the Rachmaninoff Vocalise as a good change of style.
