From the very beginning of the Kraft, played for two minutes, takes you just past the first fast section, roughly the first page. Actually, this sounds like a fairly logical ending point in an audition. At least it did for me. You could extend it some and do a little of the multiphonics section that follows. That always sounds very impressive if you can execute it in tune. But that small snippet of the Kraft gives you all the elements of a good solo, dramaticism, technique, musicality, range, dynamics, the whole package. I really liked the way it worked in auditions because it seemed like it was really an efficient piece to play. Good luck!
