Tabataeu was the principal oboist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and taught musicianship at the Curtis Institute. "Lessons" is a CD of one of his lectures. Mr Jacobs thought he was one of his finest teachers and much of his teachings about musicianship were based on Tabataeu.
This is a fine CD!
