Just thought I would make a friendly post real quick. I live in Japan and today I was in a music store called Tahara's and I found that Mahler 1 recording that Jay Bertolet was talking about with the Florida Philharmonic and James Judd conducting. If you have not had a chance to here this orchestra play before(like me before today) then by all means give them a listen. This recording is one of the best Mahler 1's I have heard, maybe the best out of the 4 or 5 I own. The horns sound fabulous. They are just a great sounding orchestra. Great tuba playing Jay!
