If I see a student who is engaging in what I consider destructive behavior, DAMN RIGHT I'm gonna stick my nose in. ESPECIALLY, if (s)he is away from home and without parental supervision. I don't care HOW OLD (s)he may be. If the behavior got intolerable after a few sit downs, I'd probably give them the boot (being careful to document EVERYTHING) and let the student explain it to his/her parents. Having said that, I have NEVER had to do it.
