I am currently switching between a CB Arnold Jacobs and a Marcikewicz N4t and trying to find a mp that gives the smooth velvety sound, and excellent articulation of the A. Jacobs at the same time the better low range, and larger volume of the N4t. Yes, they are 2 different animals; a shallow cup with a rounded rim (N4t)vs. a deeper Helleberg cup and a sharper rim (AJ). I have noticed the cup opening on the N4t is wider. Would this allow more "lip" in the mp, thus, give a better, and more solid low end? My main horns are a BBb VMI and Conn 20J.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

Tuba John
