I too have an old B&H 982 circa 1980. I love it. I was thinking of going to a 981 in the near future, but will also try the others. The only problem with the valve front five valve type horns is having to relearn all the fingerings in the low register. I just do not know if I feel like going through all that at this point in my career. Nice to meet another Eb aficianado. I was just listening to "The Best Of Fletch" tonight. Are you familiar with that CD? John Fletcher was truly an amazing player. He made that horn sound incredible! ken k
