I use Hetman's valve oil now. It is the best oil I have found. It is much more durable than the petroleum based oil (Al Cass) that I previously used. Before switching oil, I flushed my tuba out with a heavy-duty degreaser and cleaned the valves individually. I have experienced no cross-over effects that I can detect.
