One of the nice things about Hetman oils is that it will not react adversely to other oils in mixture, unlike Binak or Alisyn or some other synthetics. I learned this when I talked to the people at Hetman for MSDS sheets (which I never got). If you buy a used horn, or want to switch horns, it isn't absolutely neccessary to clean the inside to prevent gumming up. Wiping valves and slides should be sufficient. Hetman also makes different weight slide oils, stiffer ones for TS that you don't want to move and lighter ones for slides you do want to move. The lighter ones do need to be applied maybe once a week. Hope this helps. DaveC
