Jay, I have used Hetman for about four years and love the results on both rotary and piston horns. I have also mixed pet. based and syn. oils, the Hetman, and have had no problems. When I did worry about the buildup, I used regular rubbing alcohol to do most of the cleaning. Just pour a little down the leadpipe and lay the horn so the alcohol coats the valves. Let it sit overnight and then rinse well with water the next day. Repeat as necessary. Good luck. Chris
