Nothing even close to an overhaul or plating job.
I can't tell you everything Bill had done to this horn, but here's some of it. This 822 has had a Dillon Adjustable Gap Receiver put on. The angle of the lead pipe was adjusted for a more comfortable hold and fit. Amato water keys were placed throughout the horn to easily get rid of spit (something that Yamahas seem to always have a lot of). I believe that the 5th valve (rotary) was scooped out. Also, extra bracing was placed throughout to help solidify the low register.
Overall, this is a great tuba. The best 822 I've ever played on. I'd seriously look into buying this horn if I didn't already have my baby. For $6500, this horn is definitely a steal.
