I had, what seems to be, a similar problem on a new 188CC that I bought back in the early 1980's. Mirafone didn't have an answer and neither did many pros who played a 188 at that time. I called Roger Bobo in LA, and he termed it "after glow". He was surprised to hear of it coming from a Mirafone. He said the only thing you can do is dampen it with duct tape. Being that the horn was brand new, I just sent it back and had Mirafone send me another one, which was fine. If your horn is new, you might want to consider getting another one. I know that I tried to ignore the sound (on mine, it was on an F below the staff), but after playing it for a week, it drove me nuts. I had to have it taken care of. My advice to you is to get rid of it, or dampen it with the duct tape.
