Personally I like the 2+3 combo on F AND CC but have adapted to long 1st for CC.
I feel 2+3 gives better tuning on BBb and below with fingerings as follows:
LOW:
Bb: 5 23
A: 5 4
Ab: 5 14
G: 5 34 or 5 124
Gb: 5 234
F: 5 1234
