Hello Nate,
First of all I would check Amazon.com for the recordings. The recording I really like of the Concerto for Bass Tuba by Vaughan William is the London Symphony with Andre Previn conducting I believe. The soloist's last name is Fletcher....absolutely amazing. He also has a great recording of the Gregson Concerto. I would suggest buying it as well. I will tell you that the VW goes up to E flat a lot and there is an optional A flat in the treble clef staff during the cadenza in the 1st movement. The 2nd movement stays up around E and D above middle C. The last movement is incredibly difficult and also has a very high tessitura.
The Hindemith recording I have is by Roger Bobo, The disk is entitled Bobissimo, the best of Roger Bobo. I have heard that there are better recordings but that is the only one I have. I like it quite a bit.
I am not sure what suite you are talking about. Is it the Hartley? Good Luck!!!
