Hey, I realized looking over that post that I never really gave any reasons that I like my Perantucci Eb. . . The number one thing is consistancy of sound throughout the registers. The low end is great, some of the notes are just as or more open then my 6/4 CC (this is partially due to some of them being pedal tones on an Eb) The high end sings, too. . . I mentioned intonation in the other post. It is very solid. I would think that this horn qualifies as a larger bass tuba (don't know the specs.) It can be played and sound like a good bass tuba, but it is open enough and big enough (if you don't mind low range fingerings) to fill the role of a 4/4 CC pretty well, in addition to the bass tuba role I bought it for. It is articulate and the sound is colorful. . .

If there is anything you would like to know about the horn, feel free to email. ..

T. J.
