Admittedly, I (to the horror of some, who think it endangers the integrity of the center screw threads and the stem threads) often use your method, but I can just see ten guys out there smacking the center screw sideways and breaking it off inside the rotor stem... so I chose to describe the "screwdriver prying" method, instead.
