To stop the mis-conceptions about Mr. Perantoni's studio. Currently there are 23 tuba players and two euphonium players. Yes, in years past freshmen studied with the AI (TA), due to the fact that Mr. Perantoni was on sabbatical, at that point Tony Kniffen, principal tuba of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, taught the rest of the studio. As of right now all accepted freshman will study with Perantoni.

Also, studying with Perantoni's AI is not always a bad thing. All of his AI's in the past few years have won major gigs (Brian Sands US Air Force Band, for example), so they must be doing something right.

Just a bit of what's really going on at IU.
