The bag in question was made in India. I don't remember the name of the company, but it was not marked "Brasswind". I'll check the name when I get home. It seems to be well constructed. The padding probably averages about an inch and a half thick.
The tuba it is protecting is old, inexpensive and already very dented. I bought the bag because the metal cleats on the old wooden case were tearing up the trunk of my car, which is only slightly less old and inexpensive, but still dent-free.
