Well, it's a great mouthpiece, but at most it allows me to be my best. I feel like I can now play this horn without worrying about a few niggling details. My low range is more secure, and my high range about the same as it was, except in tune and with a much better sound. That's a big enough miracle for me.
As to prices, I paid $180 for the mouthpiece at the Army Tuba Conference, and waited until now to trade out the pieces he gave me at the conference for what eventually worked.
