I really don't think that you can go wrong with a Miraphone 186. Mr. Baer and Mr. Taylor, among others wouldn't recommend them if they didn't think they were great horns and would suit your abilities. I know that is kinda of a "common sense" comment, but there is a reason why they recommend them and why they are so widely used.
