Daryl Hickman, who posts on this bbs, has established a musical instrument repair school at the Renton Technical School (Forgive me if I have the schools name wrong, Daryl.) in the Seattle area. Find one of his posts, and you will likely find his email address, along with a clickable link to his school's website.
The cost is surprisingly low. His is a one-year highly-intensive hands-on school, and the tuition is about the same as many low-end state university or junior college tuitions (plus, you would actually LEARN HOW TO DO SOMETHING!!!!) ...only teasing you liberal arts guys - Yeah, I have some lib. arts diplomas, too...great for covering up cracks in sheetrock.
