I think you might be better served considering the Conn 5J instead. This is more along the lines of the 2J/3J except in BBb that Harvey Phillips actually made his money on. For a 3/4 BBb it has a very good sound, excellent intonation, and works well in small ensembles. Also, I think it is about 1500-1000 less, which also helps!
