My first tuba solo in front of people was the Haddad Suite, which I played last April at a "Sonday of Classics and Jazz" concert at my high school, in front of maybe 20 or 30 people.
Before that though, there was this electric bass solo in our Marching band arrangement of Birdland that I managed to persuade my band director to let me play...hehehe...
