I saw a local band here in North Texas that plays a lot of Celtic music. They had one and the guy was awesome on it. It was close to 8 feet long when extended. He would prop one end up on top of the keyboard and play into a small microphone. Lots of circulatory breathing and sliding it in and out made some really cool sounds. I had never heard one played live before. Band is call "Blarney Brothers" I think they have a CD out.
