Last year we did Zarathustra, and the guy playing 2nd used a Yorkbrunner (next to my Nirschl). During a break, we quickly discovered that the Yorkbrunner was 4 or 5 inches taller than the Nirschl! I'd always heard that Hirsbrunner *sorta* copied the York, but used many pre-existing mandrels to produce his copies. Thus the discrepancies in the 'copies'.
Dunno. Maybe I'm wrong. It's happened before. ;^)
