I switched last summer in july. it took about a month to be comfortable with the fingerings, but a couple more to be comfortable enough with the horn (with its less resonance, better response, and new mouthpiece), to make all-state. I dread marching season next year when I'll have to play BBb again (haven't touched it since october).
