Hey Guys,

I have to agree with Matt on this one. I was at Tanglewood all summer and every concert I heard humbled my musicianship. Yes, it's important to be critical but let's not be naive. The brass players in the big orchestras can do things that we can't comprehend unless you get lucky enough to sit in the same section with them. The job is much harder than it sounds and looks. These guys are amazing. I wish I had more opportunities to hear the Boston Symphony live. Recordings do absolutely no justice for most brass sections. Hearing Boston, Chicago, New York, Montreal and the other big orhcetsras live is an experience unlike any other. Only after seeing 29 live concerts this year in Montreal do I feel like i can pass judgement on the Montreal Symphony. Like Matt I hope everyone has a chance to check groups like this out on a regular basis.
