That is indeed the case. Since a noted high school band near me bought a fleet of Jupiters and became the "poster kids" for Jupiter, they have had TONS of problems with the valves. The Jupiter rep keeps arranging to have the valves replaced whenever needed (which is often). I just wouldn't want to go through the hassle. Not only that, but the kids don't like the horns (those "fiber-brass" thingies) worth a flip.
