Wow, somebody finally posted a problem I don't have. One of the major reasons why I like playing my horn, is it is one of the few times that the brain just shuts up. It's my form of meditation, of putting all my attention on something other than brain babble. I just become the sound of the horn.
Other activities that do this for me are downhill skiing and scuba diving; I think anything that requires my attention to do well physically, would work. Maybe you're playing stuff that is too easy for you?????
