i have an interesting descision to make. in one hand (set the jokes aside) i have a YBB641 w/rotory valves that has great tone and i can achieve any volume needed but is hard to double toung on and in the other hand i have an old (1951-ish) renolds BBb with a recording bell and FA pistons on which i can perfectly articulate by any means needed (single, double, etc.) but it has crappy sousaphone intonation. i'm leaning tward the yamaha and just workin hard on my articulation. i think the reson for the easy articulation on the renolds, and please correct me if i'm wrong, is a strangely narrow leadpipe. the renolds is also seems to need less air.

both of these are achool instruments and i am the only tuba player there :)
