There's an Ohio Chamber Orchestra, but no Ohio Symphony. If there's just one major orchestra in a state, frequently serving more than just the city in which they are based, they are sometimes called the (insert state here) Symphony. New Jersey Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, Alabama Symphony, New Mexico Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Virginia Symphony and Utah Symphony come to mind.
