I used a Conn Helleberg on my 661 for quite a while, and I had to pull the tuning slide almost all the way out before I could play down to A=440. Then I switched to a Laskey 30G that works incredibly well with both the horn and me, and it brought the pitch down a bit as well. My tuning slide is still out quite a ways, but I have a lot of room in either direction in case I need it.
Congrats on your purchase! I love my 661, and wouldn't trade mine for any other 4/4 CC I've played.
