After 24 years of playing BBb, I made the switch to CC about 18months ago. It is a decision I wish I would have made in early college. The fingerings have taken a good 6 months to start coming naturally. I would make the same decision again, though. When playing on the CC, it is easier for me to "think" half steps and whole steps. Odd key signatures are easier for my brain to deal with in C.
As far as horns, I feel there is a wider selection of good to excellent CC horns.
