I'm happy with my new King 2341, which i've had just over a month now. amid all the new & used horns at Dillon Music (ie, in Tuba Heaven), my shortlist also included a VMI and a Cerveny. although i expected to prefer rotary valves, which the others had but the King does not, in fact the hand position wasn't quite comfortable for me and i guess my body size/shape or my posture. so the King won in part because it fit my physically.
thus I would stress playing the serious candidate horn(s) for more than just a minute or two. the right horn for you is more than just the specs and people's helpful recommendations.
